24 Mar Exhibition in Tilburg with John Dohmen and Abd Alkader Abd Alwahed
From Friday, April 10 to Sunday, April 12, Tilburg-based artists Abd Alkader Abd Alwahed, John Dohmen, and Roald Wolters will be exhibiting their work at NS16 in Tilburg. Although the three artists come from different backgrounds and employ distinct approaches, their work is united by a shared focus on freedom and a sense of wonder—encompassing freedom of expression and the mind, as well as the wonder inspired by nature and humanity. Painting, screen printing, digital media, and timeless visual language converge here, inviting the viewer to engage in reflection, introspection, and conversation.
The artists view art as a means to drive change. Abd harnesses the power of art to transform reality and inspire people to pursue their passions. John’s work is a response to nature and landscapes; it arises from a sense of wonder and, in turn, evokes it in others. Roald invites the viewer to contemplate collective responsibility and reflect on the future. Three approaches to the same fundamental human question: how do we perceive ourselves in relation to freedom, nature, and society?
